Equipment Operator

Throughout the year we offer 10 week equipment operator training courses on the following equipment.

• Skid Steer
• Loader
• Excavator

Start Date: Multiple start dates

Our operator trainees will complete the following syllabus:

• Safety Tickets
• First Aid
• Classroom Theory
• Truck and Trailer
• Hands-On Practicum

Safety Tickets

Various safety ticket trainings will be completed in classroom as well as online.
Some examples include:

• Construction Safety Training System Fundamentals (CSTS 2020)
• Ground Disturbance 201
• Roadbuilders Safety Training System (RSTS 2012)
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods

First Aid

First Aid Training – Level C will be completed as part of the Operator Training Program.

Classroom Theory

Learners will spend 120 hours in a classroom setting, some of the content will include:

• Equipment inspection
• Tagging in/out of equipment
• Safe operation of equipment
• Efficient and effective operation of equipment
• Survey and grading

Truck and Trailer

Learners will gain confidence in loading, securing and towing a trailer.

Hands on Practicum

This is where the program is divided between the different pieces of equipment. Currently we offer skid steer (various sizes), loaders and excavators.
